21st CYNDAC Defends Akpabio, Warns Of New Initiative

Obasempire reports that a faction operating under the banner of 21st Century Youths of Niger Delta and Agitators with Conscience (21st CYNDAC) has come to the defense of Senator Goodwill Obot Akpabio in response to claims that he is accountable for the economic difficulties and food shortages in Nigeria.

They contended that Akpabio has backed legislation designed to address these problems and called on critics to also hold other political leaders, including governors and legislators, responsible.

The faction cautioned that if the unfavorable depiction of Akpabio continues, they would launch an initiative named “Operation Eat Your Gold and Let’s Eat Our Oil,” indicating a focus on resource management and self-sufficiency in the Niger Delta region.

The statement was made by the group’s Coordinator, Izon Ebi, in reaction to the popular hashtag #AkpabiomustGo.

According to the group, “It should be on record that Senator Goodwill Obot Akpabio has facilitated every legislation brought to it by the executive to ameliorate the suffering in the land and as such preposterous for him to be singled out as the poster boy for the hardship and hunger that is prevalent in Nigeria.

We use this medium to advice the fifth columnists to also hold the governors and representatives to account as we in the Niger Delta will also hold our representatives to account. If this trend continues, we will activate operation eat your Gold and let’s eat our oil.”

Nollywood Actress Esther Nwachukwu Reveals Shockingly High Body Count

Gospel Singer Aduke Gold Passes Away; Cause Of Death Unknown

Obasempire reports that Aduke Ajayi, the Nigerian gospel artist known as Aduke Gold, has died.

Esther Igbekele, another gospel singer, announced her passing through an Instagram post on Tuesday.

Sharing a photo of the late artist, Igbekele wrote in the caption: “RIP Aduke Gold, a general has fallen.”

Aduke Gold reportedly passed away on Monday at the University College Hospital in Ibadan, Oyo State.

At the time of this report, the cause of her death is not yet known. Aduke’s family has not released an official statement about her passing.

Fans and celebrities have flooded the comments on Igbekele’s post to pay tribute to the singer, renowned for her remarkable live performances.

Aduke Gold began her music career in the mid-2000s but gained significant recognition after the release of ‘Nitori Ogo’ — meaning “Because of Glory” — in 2021.

The track, from the album of the same name, garnered substantial streams and popularity, particularly on social media.

She studied History and International Studies at Lagos State University (LASU) and earned a degree in Child Psychology and a diploma in Montessori Education from the United Kingdom.

Aduke Gold worked with children with special needs, including autism, dyslexia, and cerebral palsy.

She struggled with vertigo, which caused frequent fainting spells and was a persistent challenge during her music career.

Her death follows the recent passing of Morenikeji Egbin Orun, another gospel artist.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Warns Of Severe Retaliation Against Attacks In South-West

Obasempire reports that the leading Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide, has issued a firm warning against any planned assaults on Igbos in Lagos State and other South-West regions.

The organization was reacting to a post by an X user, Lagospedia, advocating for the forced displacement of Igbo individuals.

In a statement from the National President, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, the Council condemned the call as unpatriotic and menacing, asserting that any aggression towards Ndigbo would be met with strong retaliation.

The statement, titled “Enough is Enough,” cautioned that the Igbo community will not tolerate any efforts to provoke violence or undermine their presence in the nation.

Okwu Nnabuike assured that the Igbos are unafraid and should not be mistaken for weaklings due to their previous restraint.

He urged those spreading divisive rhetoric to stop immediately, emphasizing that the Igbo people are a vital part of Nigeria and deserve equal respect and protection.

“We want to unequivocally declare today that Ndigbo are not cowards; our forefathers were not cowards; they were brave, and so are we.

“We warn those fanning the embers of discord not to mistake the calmness of the lion for weakness; we are not afraid and should not be pushed to the wall by faceless miscreants.

“Any attack on Ndigbo by anybody will be met with unimaginable retaliation. We are not second-class citizens of this country. No one is more Nigerian than the Igbos,” the release stated.

Adeboye Criticizes Modern Wedding Practices As Disrespectful To God

Obasempire reports that the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has voiced his disapproval of modern wedding practices and customs.

He particularly ridiculed the practice of women applying makeup to enhance their appearance before weddings.

He asserted that such practices amount to questioning God’s creation, labeling those who participate in them as foolish for displaying disbelief in the divine work.

Pastor Adeboye expressed his concern over the extravagant activities people engage in for weddings today.

He addressed these issues at the RCCG ministers’ conference during its National Convention on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

He lamented that traditional values have been abandoned, and people are no longer conservative or practical in their approach to marriage.

According to Pastor Adeboye: “It wasn’t so in the beginning. When you marry, you cut your coat according to your clothes.

“Some of you want to be like the people of the world. I can’t even imagine some of the things I see now.

“People spend hundreds of thousands of naira on ‘shoot out’ (photo shoot). And then on the day of the wedding, the girl put on all manner of decoration.

“Those who do make-up are those who do not believe God did a good job.

“When God created you, He did a great job, you are wonderful, perfectly made and you cannot find any other fellow like you, you are special.

“When you begin to paint, and you think you can improve on what God has already done, you are a fool. You can never improve on what God has done.”

Prof. Adeyeye Cuts Costs At NAFDAC By Implementing Zoom Meetings

Obasempire reports that the Director-General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, has emphasized her efforts to slash costs drastically at the agency.

She noted that she reduced numerous travel expenses by implementing Zoom meetings, a change that many employees were not pleased with.

“I said I was going to cut to the bone. I am going to be using technology to ensure that our system moves on. We started Zoom meetings in 2018. Many people didn’t like because it they were used to getting travel allowances and DTAs. But we had to save,” Adeyeye said on Friday during an interview with ‘Channels Television’.

She recalled that things were so dicey for NAFDAC when she took over that, by that 2017, she inherited a debt of N3.2 billion when she took over.

According to her, N500 million was unaccounted for, during her interview on Channels Television’s programme, Inside Sources.

Adeyeye noted that if such financial loss had happened in developed climes like the United States, the agency would have been “declared bankrupt and a financial house would have taken over the management of our finances.”

The NAFDAC boss said, “When I got to NAFDAC, I met N3.2b debt, and N500m missing and there was no account for it before I came.

“I asked them if they had capital projects they used the money for. Bear in mind that at that time, N1 million was equivalent to $2,000. So multiply $2,000 by N500m. I was coming from the US where money was hard to get. You worked hard for your money. I could have given up but I saw an opportunity and I seized it.

“It was tough because if that had happened in the US, NAFDAC would have been declared bankrupt, and a financial house would have taken over the management of our finances. But I didn’t have money to hire a financial house.”

She acknowledged that Nigeria is a blessed nation with “enough endowment” to facilitate improved development.

Adeyeye also recalled how she reduced the high expenses by some officials of the agency, citing the introduction of technological applications like Zoom, to cut travel expenses.

She noted, “My point is that we have enough endowment in this country to make things better, and I am using NAFDAC as an example.”

Death Toll In Ayati Violence Rises To 50, Including Police Officers

Obasempire reports that the death toll from the recent violence in the Ayati community within the Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State has risen to 50, including two police officers, as additional bodies have been discovered.

State Governor Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, who denounced the resurgence of violence, expressed frustration that the assault occurred despite a significant security presence in the region.

The governor voiced concern that the violence persists in the council area despite substantial security measures and ongoing dialogue sessions his administration has been conducting with stakeholders and traditional leaders to restore peace in Sankera.

In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Kula Tersoo, and shared with journalists in Makurdi, the governor described the incident as “another unprovoked assault on the Ayati community in Ukum Local Government Area, where several individuals were reportedly killed.”

“Governor Alia strongly condemns the attack on unarmed innocent citizens of Benue State by armed bandits, expressing worry that such heinous act has continued in the state despite strong security presence.”

Alia, who vowed to continue to use lawful procedures to protect Benue people, particularly Ukum residents, called on security personnel to improve their surveillance and ensure that vulnerable communities were not left unguarded.

He explained that the government was awaiting a Judicial Commission of Inquiry to bring out its findings.

“He consoles families that lost their loved ones in the attack, saying his thoughts of comfort and prayers are with them and with the entire people of Ukum Local Government.

Ukum is one of the three local government areas (others are Katsina-Ala and Logo LGs) that make up the Sankara axis where criminality holds sway.

CDQ Drops First Single Of The Year Featuring Serenità

Obasempire reports that CDQ, the Nigerian rapper, has launched his first single of the year, titled ‘One Night’.

The rapper unveiled the track on all streaming services in the early hours of Friday.

In the caption, CDQ mentioned that the song reveals “the secret of Davido and Chioma’s romance.”

In ‘One Night’, the rapper collaborates with South African artist Serenità. The track was produced by Lehandro Beats.

“It’s just you on my mind, Your love is hard to find/ Come and stay for one night, I will make it worth your while,” they sing.

“I ain’t never seen a church girl so pretty/ If I had to say the truth ma I swear I wanna hit it/ Real life shit this is not a lyrics, Wanna look into your eyes every day and say we did it.”

CDQ earlier said he would reveal “secret” information about Davido and his wife Chioma.

Born Sodiq Yusuf, CDQ rose to prominence after putting out ‘Nowo E Soke’, a 2015 hit single, wherein he featured Wizkid.

He has since then established himself as a popular figure in the Nigerian music industry.

In November 2016, the rapper launched his own record label N.S.N.S — a short form for No Struggle No Success Entertainment.

CDQ unveiled his first album ‘Quality’ in 2016. His other projects are ‘Vibes and Lifestyle’ (2021) and ‘Mood and Ecstasy’ (2023).

In December 2022, CDQ revealed he was hospitalised for a life-threatening ailment.

Verydarkman Tests Prophet Fufeyin’s Miracle Products On Disabled Individuals

Obasempire reports that controversial activist Verydarkman recently visited a disability community in Abuja to test Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin’s miracle products.

VDM took Fufeyin’s products to individuals with various disabilities to see if immediate results would appear, but no changes were observed.

Verydarkman appears fully prepared for Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin, who recently filed a lawsuit against him.

The clergyman had initiated a ₦1 billion lawsuit and sought a restraining order against VDM after the activist criticized the Pastor for selling his miracle water.

In response to the lawsuit, VDM decided to evaluate Fufeyin’s products. He received some items previously ordered from Prophet Fufeyin, bought additional food items from a store, and traveled to a disability community in Abuja.

There, VDM distributed the miracle water to the individuals, but no miraculous effects were seen.

VDM shared a video of the test on Instagram, writing::

“I have gone to test prophet Jeremiah omoto fufeyin healing water on the blind and crippled at the biggest disability home in the whole of Abuja @prophetjeremiahomoto na so e Dey work?”
