Orphaned Nigerian TikToker ‘Geh Geh’ goes viral, Rakes in $30,000 from one live session

A young Nigerian known as “Geh Geh” has captured the hearts of thousands online after his TikTok live session on Thursday drew an astonishing 177,000 viewers and reportedly earned him gifts worth over $30,000.

The social media personality, who refers to his online platform as the “University of Wisdom and Understanding,” has been making waves with his unconventional approach to advising men on relationships and finances.

In a video he posted after the live session, Geh Geh said, “More than 177,000 people watch my lectures today.

Jesus! University of wisdom and understanding, the only university where once you graduate, woman go fear to ask you for money.”

Describing himself as the “first illiterate to find a university in the history of Nigeria,” Geh Geh reflected on his unlikely rise to fame, saying, “I no be graduate too, but by the grace of God, I don find school. I be orphan, but now Nigerians don show me love.”

According to him, the gifts received during the live were worth approximately $30,000, a feat he described as life-changing.

See gift I made over… more gift when they give me today is worth about $30,000. I no go take this love for granted, because I no really do anything for am,” he said in a follow-up video after the live became a hit.

The viral moment has been hailed by many as a form of digital empowerment, proof that even those without formal education can leverage social media to build influence, create entertainment, and earn a living.

While his controversial teachings on money and women have sparked debates online, his story is now being seen as an inspiration to underprivileged youths.

Reflecting on the overwhelming support, he added, “If Nigeria be country wey value great people, by now them suppose dey compare people like me with Aristotle, Wole Soyinka, Einstein… but I thank God say people dey see my head and my own difference.”

His followers, now calling themselves “students” of the Geh Geh University, continue to grow, raising questions about how social platforms are redefining fame and success in Nigeria.

Nollywood star Ohameze denies stroke rumors

Veteran Nollywood actor Clem Ohameze has refuted rumours that he is down with a stroke and has been abandoned by his children.

Ohameze, in a video cited by ObasEmpire on Saturday to deny the report posted by a Facebook user, stated that he has gotten both the police and DSS involved.

He said, “I have initiated a police case. I have sent his number and name to them. This is a cybercrime. I called my friend, who is a director in the DSS. It has cost me a lot to come this far in my life. I will not let someone rubbish me just like that for cheap popularity because you want to attract traffic to your page.

The other time, it was that I was dead; now it is that I had a stroke. I said this and that, but who did I grant the interview to? Do I have three sons? What nonsense is this? Why don’t you call and reach out to me and confirm? Now, you have succeeded in smearing my name all over the world. I guess he is satisfied. I had to call my children, and fortunately, it was only my daughter who heard about it. Why would people do this to me?”

The Facebook user had posted that the 60-year-old actor has been down with a stroke for the past two decades, and his male children had abandoned him, with only his daughter taking care of him.

The report, which has now been tagged as fake, claimed the actor said, “Since I had a stroke, my daughter is the only person who has not given up on me. She has been taking care of me for over two decades now. My sons don’t care about me anymore. They gave up on me too soon.

They are busy making sure their wives and their kids are happy, and my only daughter is making sure I am OK at the expense of her own happiness. If my daughter had not been born, I would have been dead more than a decade ago. When I was strong, I invested more in my three sons, but life is difficult to understand. I can’t explain it, but you don’t know what God has done for you if you have a child. They are the only people who will never give up on you.”

BREAKING: “Vote buyers are criminals in disguise,” – Peter Obi urges Nigerians to get PVC

Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has called on Nigerians to take advantage of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).

INEC on Monday commenced the nationwide CVR exercise, which includes online pre-registration, ahead of the forthcoming off-cycle elections in Anambra, Osun and Ekiti States, as well as the 2027 general elections

In a statement shared on his social media handle titled “PVC is the bridge to a New Nigeria”, Obi urged Nigerians, both young and old, to register and ensure they are eligible to vote.

His statement reads, “The future of our dear nation is in your hands. The greatest strength of democracy is in the voter’s card. Your PVC is the voice of the voiceless, the shield of the weak, and the weapon of the poor for a better life against injustice and bad leadershiappeal to every Nigerian: Get organised and make election rigging difficult. Go out, register, collect your PVC, and hold it firmly as your bridge to a new Nigeria.

Let us know this: those who buy votes are not offering you charity; they only invest in their own corruption. They buy votes so that they can buy their way into our treasury to steal public money.

When they get into that office, they will loot the funds that should have been used to build schools, hospitals or provide good jobs. Such people are not leaders, they are criminals in disguise. They are no better than killers, armed robbers, and kidnappers, because they commit the same crime of destruction.

To those who sell their votes, you are not just selling an election, you are selling the very opportunities that would have lifted you and your family out of poverty.

You are selling the schools that your children should have attended, the hospitals that should save your loved ones and the jobs that would have given you dignity and a better life. Those who buy your vote are only buying it to make a profit from the seat of power, not to serve you.

The power to change this country is in your hands, the looters will only loot when we give them the opportunity. Your vote counts, if it doesn’t, they would not be desperately buying that vote.”

The former governor stated that every Nigerian must rise and take responsibility for building the nation.

Peter Obi added that “Our democracy is at stake. That is why I urge every eligible Nigerian to register, collect, and safeguard your PVC, and when the time comes, use it wisely. Vote for leaders of competence, character, capacity, and compassion.

Leaders who will put you first. Do not be intimidated, do not be deceived, and do not be bought.”

He urged everyone to stand together and prove that Nigeria belongs to the people, not to those who trade the future for their selfish gain.

Register to vote, because a new Nigeria starts with you,” Peter Obi concluded.
