Juventus Sack Igor Tudor After Winless Streak

Italian Serie A giants, Juventus have dismissed head coach Igor Tudor following a miserable run of form that has left the club winless in eight straight matches.

The Italian side made the announcement on Monday, confirming that reserve team coach Massimiliano Brambilla will temporarily take charge of the first team ahead of Wednesday’s Serie A clash with Udinese.

In a statement released by the club, Juventus said: “Juventus Football Club today announced that Igor Tudor is no longer the head coach of the first team. His coaching staff members Ivan Javorčić, Tomislav Rogić, and Riccardo Lanić also left their positions simultaneously.”

The club thanked the Croatian and his backroom staff for their “professionalism and dedication over the past few months,” adding that they wished them success in their future endeavours

Tudor’s departure comes in the wake of Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to Lazio, which extended Juventus’ winless streak to eight games and deepened frustration among fans.

The result also marked the team’s third straight loss across all competitions, leaving them eighth in Serie A and struggling to stay afloat in the Champions League group stage, where they sit 25th.

The 46-year-old took over from Thiago Motta in March and managed 24 games, collecting 10 wins, eight draws, and six losses. His only notable highlight came early in the season when Juventus beat Inter Milan 1-0 on September 13, their most recent victory.

Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Luciano Spalletti, who guided Napoli to the Scudetto in 2023, is the frontrunner to replace Tudor on a permanent basis. Other names linked to the job include Roberto Mancini, Raffaele Palladino and former boss Thiago Motta, who remains under contract with Juventus until 2027 despite being sacked earlier this year.

Brambilla, who currently manages Juventus’ second team, will now be in the dugout when the Bianconeri host Udinese at the Allianz Stadium on Wednesday.

2027: ADC on fire – Kenneth Okonkwo

Former National Officer of the Labour Party, Kenneth Okonkwo, has claimed that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is using intimidation tactics to disrupt opposition activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking on Arise Television’s Morning Show on Monday, Okonkwo said the ADC has faced repeated attacks while holding meetings across several states.

ADC is on fire. The only thing is that we have an APC that is using every method to intimidate and scatter the plans of the opposition,” he said.

Okonkwo cited incidents in Kaduna, Lagos, and Ekiti States where ADC gatherings were allegedly dispersed by thugs acting under the supervision of security agencies.

He accused the APC of manipulating security institutions to frustrate opposition parties, contrary to provisions of the Electoral Act that mandate equal protection for all political parties.

Okonkwo expressed confidence that the ADC would form the next government, describing the APC as a party “already imploding.”

ADC is going to form the next government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We are strategizing, and we are going to beat this APC. They are already imploding because all these endorsements are just an amalgamation of sycophants,” he added.

BREAKING: Nnamdi Kanu’s Lawyer, Aloy Ejimakor Collapses In Kuje Prison

Aloy Ejimakor, Special Counsel to detained IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, has collapsed while in custody at the Kuje Correctional Centre, Abuja

This development is happening barely 24 hours after the presiding magistrate, Abubakar Umar Sai’id, allegedly refused to sign his bail bond for release.

Ejimakor was said to have slumped after complaining of weakness and difficulty standing.

Prison medical staff rushed to attend to him. His condition is believed to be getting worse, and authorities are considering transferring him to a hospital for urgent care.

Ejimakor is among 13 individuals arrested earlier in the week during the “#FreeNnamdiKanuNow” protest. Those arrested also include Nnamdi Kanu’s younger brother, Prince Emmanuel Kanu.

They were reportedly tear-gassed, beaten, and taken into custody before being moved to the notorious SARS detention facility known as “Abattoir”.

On Tuesday, they were taken to the Kuje Magistrate Court without their legal team present. The magistrate ordered their remand, and despite granting bail the following day, he allegedly disappeared without endorsing the bail documents

Human rights activists have since raised concerns over the treatment of the lawyer and others arrested, accusing security agencies of intimidation and abuse of power.

However, lawyers and supporters are demanding immediate medical attention and full respect for their legal rights.

EPL: ‘Oldest one’ – Maresca reveals why Tosin might not be happy at Chelsea

Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca, has revealed that Tosin Adarabioyo is unhappy due to a lack of game time despite being the oldest member of his squad.

The Italian gaffer spoke ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League match against Sunderland at the weekend.

Tosin, 28, happens to be the oldest outfield player at Stamford Bridge at the moment, yet he is not a guaranteed starter.

In his first season at the club, Tosin started fifteen of the 38 Premier League games contested by Chelsea.

This season, he has only played three games from the start

Maresca used both Estevao Willian and centre-back Tosin as examples as he tried to explain how competitive it is becoming at the club.

He said, “It’s with Estevao but it’s almost with all of them. It doesn’t matter the age because if you say to Tosin, who’s the oldest one, that he’s not going to play, he’s not happy.

So, it’s not about the age; it’s about the fact that when they don’t play, they are not happy. But again, they have to understand that they cannot play every game.”

Chelsea play Sunderland on Saturday, and with Levi Colwill and Benoît Badiashile unavailable for selection due to injuries, Tosin may be called upon to fill the gap.

Kanu: There’s Something about his particular Case That doesn’t warrant them Releasing him Says -Tsav

The continued detention of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), remains a deeply complex issue for the Nigerian government, situated at the volatile intersection of law, politics, and national identity. According to legal practitioner Barrister Mohammed Tsav, the case is far from a standard criminal proceeding; it involves unique sensitivities that make a straightforward release politically untenable for the authorities. The government perceives Kanu not merely as an individual defendant but as the symbolic figurehead of a movement that directly challenges Nigeria’s territorial sovereignty. This perception elevates every decision concerning his status, ensuring it is weighed with extreme caution against potential national security implications and the risk of renewed civil unrest.

The administration’s primary apprehension, as outlined by Tsav, is that Kanu’s unconditional liberation could serve as a catalyst, reinvigorating protests and potentially emboldening more militant factions within the secessionist movement. This fear creates a political calculus where maintaining his detention is viewed as the safer option for preserving short-term stability in the Southeast region. However, this strategy is not without its own significant perils. Tsav warns that a prolonged incarceration without a transparent and conclusive legal process risks achieving the opposite of its intended effect. Rather than neutralizing his influence, it could amplify his stature, gradually transforming him from an accused criminal into a potent symbol of political persecution in the eyes of his supporters and the wider international community.

This dynamic risks exacerbating the very divisions the government seeks to manage, deepening the chasm of mistrust between the federal establishment and the Igbo populace. Consequently, Tsav advocates for a shift in strategy, urging the government to recognize that a purely legal or security-focused approach is insufficient. He proposes that a sustainable resolution will likely require a political solution, one that embraces dialogue and reconciliation over punitive measures. The underlying argument is that for Nigeria to achieve lasting peace, it must ultimately prioritize healing and national cohesion through justice and inclusion, rather than relying indefinitely on the force of detention.

Barcelona Fight To Clear Hansi Flick’s Ban Before El Clásico Showdown

Spanish La Liga giants, FC Barcelona are battling to have Hansi Flick available for Sunday’s blockbuster clash with Real Madrid after the club appealed the one-match suspension handed to the German manager.

ObasEmpire report that the Catalans filed their appeal on Thursday morning, urging the Appeals Committee to overturn the decision made by the Sports Disciplinary Committee of the Royal Spanish Football Federation. Hansi Flick was sent off in the closing minutes of Barcelona’s 2-1 loss to Girona last weekend after receiving two yellow cards.

Referee Jesús Gil Manzano’s match report claimed Flick was booked first “for applauding one of my decisions as a sign of protest,” and again moments later “after being cautioned for making a gesture of disapproval.”

Barcelona insist the video evidence tells a different story. Club president Joan Laporta argued that the referee “made a mistake by waiting for Flick’s reaction, as seen in the images.
