Don Jazzy, reportedly transferring a generous 4 million naira to Bobrisky’s account, has faced backlash from his own followers.

They are accusing him of promoting and endorsing what they view as the celebration of gay culture.

A storm of anger has erupted on the Instagram page of Nigerian music icon Michael Collins Ajereh, better known as Don Jazzy, following claims of his significant financial contribution to Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky.

Upset fans, feeling deceived and confused, have vented their fury, flooding his social media profiles with continuous criticism.

This outcry followed Bobrisky’s recent revelation, where he publicly expressed appreciation for the male celebrities who generously donated a total of N30.6 million to him.

Earlier, Bobrisky had stirred attention by honoring top female celebrities, including Tonto Dikeh and Funke Akindele, who had collectively given N18.7 million to his cause.

The real bombshell came when Bobrisky highlighted the male supporters who stood by him: Mavin Records’ Don Jazzy allegedly contributed a staggering N4 million, football star Victor Osimhen added N3 million, actor Yhemo Lee donated N1.5 million, and socialite Abu Abel contributed N1 million.

The male celebrities on Bobrisky’s list have faced intense scrutiny, particularly Don Jazzy.

His fans are especially outraged, viewing his actions as a betrayal of traditional values and launching a vehement verbal assault, accusing him of endorsing the normalization of gay practices in Nigeria.

This follows Verydarkman (VDM) unleashing a scathing critique against Don Jazzy, Tiwa Savage, and the other celebrities who contributed to Bobrisky.

VDM didn’t hold back; he called them out with fervor, demanding they explain their moral rationale for supporting a crossdresser.

Alibaba Weighs In On Bobrisky’s EFCC Arrest

Obasempire reports that Alibaba, the Nigerian comic, has expressed his viewpoint on the apprehension of Bobrisky by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The self-styled transgender and cross-dresser was detained on Wednesday evening in Lagos for purportedly mistreating the naira bills.

Bobrisky was seized for purportedly scattering the naira bills and defacing currency, among other charges.

In a social media post on his Instagram account, the 58-year-old comic shared an image depicting some individuals dispersing and trampling on the cash notes at an event.

The ace comedian queried if the anti-graft agency “failed to arrest them because they were men”.

He also inquired about the rationale behind Bobrisky’s arrest, adding that “it is not right”.

Alibaba implied that the EFCC is beaming its searchlight on women, arguing that the way ladies are treated in Nigeria is “not good”.

Alibaba also referred to the case of Simi Gold, the actress sentenced to six months in prison in February, adding that the “EFCC has arrested another lady (Bobrisky) for a similar offence”.

“And Bobrisky was arrested for what again? Because they are men? This is not right. The other time on a celebrity lady was sentenced for the same thing,” he wrote.

“Now, EFCC has arrested another lady for the same thing that men get away with. The way we treat women in this country is not good. Mennnnn, I just taya.”

The crossdresser has been granted bail but she has yet to meet the conditions.

Born Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, the social media celebrity has always been in the news for controversial reasons.

She claimed to be Nigeria’s first transgender and once admitted to having severed her genitals.

In September 2021, the social media celebrity also talked about some of the perks she enjoys being a “woman”.

Denrele Edun Opens Up About Stroke And Leg Dysfunction

Obasempire reports that media personality Denrele Edun has candidly shared details about his recent health challenges.

He shedded light on a period of incapacitation that left him grappling with a stroke and leg dysfunction.

In a revealing interview with Channels TV, Edun disclosed the distressing ordeal he faced, recounting how a stroke afflicted half of his face, causing it to droop to one side. “Anytime I wanted to drink water, it would come out from another part of my mouth,” he stated, describing the harrowing symptoms he endured.

His mouth remained sore, and one of his eyes remained wide open, reflecting the severity of the condition.

Despite grappling with the effects of his illness, Edun felt reticent about disclosing his health struggles to the public. He expressed reluctance to seek sympathy, particularly as many perceived him as resilient and unyielding. “I couldn’t tell people that I was sick because a lot of people saw me as a car without brakes,” he confessed.

Despite his health setbacks, Edun valiantly honored work commitments, albeit unable to perform at his peak. He acknowledged that while he fulfilled professional obligations, his condition impeded his ability to deliver his best.

In a startling revelation, Edun disclosed experiencing another debilitating attack, distinct from the initial stroke. He explained that this subsequent episode affected his legs, rendering them dysfunctional. “The second one affected my legs. The leg became dysfunctional. Throughout his interview, Edun distanced himself from controversial figure Bobrisky, opting to focus on his personal journey of resilience and recovery.
