Obasempire reports that renowned comedian and vocalist Bright Okputa, known as Basketmouth, has elucidated the rationale behind subtly criticizing music sensation Ayo Balogun, also known as Wizkid, during Davido’s traditional wedding a fortnight ago.

It’s worth noting that Wizkid ignited discussions with a cryptic post following Davido’s release of his pre-wedding photos on social media.
In response, Basketmouth conveyed his observation that Davido’s wedding dominated social media attention, subtly implying indifference towards Wizkid’s tweet. This remark triggered considerable backlash, particularly from fans of the Star Boy.
In a recent video, Basketmouth revealed that his tweet shading Wizkid was a strategic marketing maneuver, foreseeing it would provoke controversy.
“Wizkid is my guy, what I did was a marketing technique, I knew it was edgy, it would get people talking and it did what I expected it to do, it worked in my favour” he said.
