Rema Charms At Benin Concert, Performs For Oba At Palace

Obasempire reports that Nigerian artist Divine Ikubor, better known as Rema, has captured hearts as he gears up for his Homecoming Concert in Benin.

Rema traveled by private jet for his performance at Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City.

In a viral video, he was seen performing for the Oba of Benin at his palace. He greeted the king and expressed his desire to sing a familiar song.

He performed “Baby Calm Down,” much to the delight of the guests at the palace.

The footage also showed the enthusiastic reactions of the ladies present, who joyfully sang along with Rema, a known smoker. At one point, a lady approached the singer, and he warmly shook her hand.

Odumodublvck Praises Rema, Calls Him Wise Beyond His Years

Obasempire reports that Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has expressed his admiration for singer Rema.

Odumodublvck described the young artist as wise, sharing that Rema offered him guidance that even his parents might not have provided.

He noted that, despite being six years older than Rema, he always pays close attention when the singer speaks.

The rapper asserted that Rema demonstrated to him that attaining legendary status isn’t based on age.

On his X handle, Odumodublvck wrote: “I senior Rema with six years but when him dey talk I dey pay full attention. E get many thing wey him tell me wey I never hear anybody tell me. Not even my father and mother.

“And trust me, I don hear many advice. I repeat OG no be by age.”

Odumodublvck and Shallipopi were the only artistes featured on Rema’s sophomore ‘He Is,’ which was released on Thursday.

Odumodublvck was featured on the single ‘War Machine.’

After a notable hiatus, award-winning Afrobeats star Rema returns with a playful new single titled after a laughing sound.

Addressing critiques against a backdrop, he explores a fresh sound reminiscent of American artist Playboi Carti’s recent vocal experiments on hits like ‘2024’ and ‘Backrooms’ featuring Travis Scott.
