Photos of Alleged Dangote Truck Driver in Phyna’s Sister Crash Surface Online

Photos claiming to show the Dangote truck driver allegedly involved in the accident that injured BBNaija star Phyna’s younger sister have surfaced online, sparking widespread discussion.

The images, which began circulating on social media on Thursday, were reportedly shared by activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) and quickly drew public attention.

The driver, whose identity has not been officially confirmed by authorities, is alleged to have been behind the wheel during the incident that left Phyna’s sister hospitalised.

Meanwhile ObasEmpire reported that Nollywood star Kate Henshaw has joined the list of public figures reacting to news of a road accident in Edo State involving a truck reportedly linked to billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote.

The incident gained widespread attention after BBNaija winner Phyna took to social media to accuse Dangote following the crash that left her younger sister, Otabor Bodon Ruth, critically injured in Auchi.

Activist VeryDarkMan also backed Phyna’s outcry, posting a video that showed Ruth lying in a hospital bed in a severe condition.

In her reaction, Kate Henshaw revealed that one of Ruth’s legs had already been amputated and warned that the second leg was also at risk. The actress noted that the tragic accident occurred just six days after Ruth graduated.

Henshaw further alleged that police officers had barred both the victim’s family and fellow students from gaining access.

This @DangoteGroup truck in police custody in Auchi has hit a young girl who just graduated 6 days ago. The driver didn’t stop. He was chased down by an eyewitness lecturer who went after him. The license plate has been removed. Police are refusing the family n students access. One leg amputated already & the other one may soon be amputated as well. She is lying critical in hospital. She is the junior sister to @unusualphyna Whoever owns the truck should own up. Calling on @PoliceNG @BenHundeyin to make sure justice is served,” she wrote in a viral post on X.

Tragedy in Anambra: “Fish Magnet” Entrepreneur Kidnapped and Killed by Gunmen

A chilling tragedy struck Anambra State over the weekend as Ifesinachi Martins Onyekere—better known as “Fish Magnet” on social media—was abducted and murdered in cold blood after an armed raid on his home in Okpuno, Awka South Local Government Area.

Gunmen in an ash‑coloured Lexus SUV stormed Onyekere’s residence in Ezinifite Village around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, shooting him in the leg and forcibly abducting him in his own navy‑blue Toyota Corolla. The attackers then escaped via bush paths toward Nawfia, evading local security forces.

Though reports suggest a ransom was paid for his release, Fish Magnet’s body was later discovered abandoned along a roadside in Awka on Wednesday, triggering widespread public outrage

Fish Magnet, a youthful and enterprising fish seller, had built a reputation for offering lower prices in the trade—earning admiration but also stirring envy. An old video resurfaced after his death in which he openly discussed resentment from colleagues in the industry, stating he “reduced the price for everybody” which stirred anger among fellow sellers.

The police spokesperson in Anambra, Superintendent Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the kidnapping and murder, saying the victim’s vehicle was recovered on Ukwulu/Igbariam Road by security operatives. The Commissioner of Police, Ikioye Orutugu, has ordered all investigative units to intensify efforts to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

Social media has erupted with grief and calls for justice. Social commentator Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), wept publicly over Fish Magnet’s death and vowed to visit Anambra on August 4 for a candlelight procession through the fish market to raise awareness about the growing insecurity in the region.

The slain entrepreneur was the only child of his mother, who also serves as a women’s leader in the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra State—a connection that has amplified public interest and concern over the incident.

This incident has reignited fears about worsening insecurity in southeastern Nigeria, where kidnappings and armed attacks have become grimly frequent—often targeting young entrepreneurs and traders. Public pressure is mounting on authorities to act swiftly and prevent further loss of promising lives.

Reactions trails as peter obi’s comments over VDM Arrest

Several reactions have trailed the comment that was made by the former governor of Anambra state and Labour Party, LP, candidate in the 2023 presidential election, Peter Gregory Obi after he heard that social media influencer, Martin Vincent Otse popularly known as VeryDarkMan has been arrested.

According to VANGUARD, VeryDarkMan was arrested and detained by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC after he visited a bank in Abuja.

However, the former governor of Anambra state has now shared his thoughts. In a post that he shared on his official X handle on Sunday, he condemned the manner in which the social media influencer was arrested.

Here is what Peter Obi wrote on his official X handle

“If Nigerians begin to struggle to distinguish between legitimate arrests and unlawful abductions, we will lose a vital layer of national security and accountability”.
